Ginger is a trendy, medium-sized crossbody bag! Also, I designed this bag so the Lucky Penny Wallet will fit perfectly inside. Ginger is a very quick sew, and has been designed for beginners. The name of this pattern was inspired by American actress, dancer, and singer, Ginger Rogers.

FINISHED SIZE: 11" wide, 10" high, and 3" deep

PATTERN DIFFICULTY: 2 Beginner

FEATURES: flap closure, exterior zipper pocket, adjustable crossbody strap, and interior slip pocket

HARDWARE REQUIRED: All of the hardware required for this pattern is included in our 3/4" Level 4 Basic Hardware Kit. In addition, you can add an optional Tassel and Handmade Label. More additional optional hardware can be listed if on the back of the pattern cover.

ZIPPER REQUIRED: This pattern requires a 10" single slide zipper. Shop our selection of Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard, to achieve the professional appearance of metal zipper teeth, but with ease of sewing with nylon!

Included with this purchase is the pattern cover and the pattern instructions. Each of our patterns are complete with step-by-step illustrations to help make the written directions easier to understand. Included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. Each pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!

Most patterns are measured and cut, which means that the pieces will need to be cut with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat. Some patterns may include templates for shaping and/or cutting out the pieces.

Trace or photocopy the pattern piece(s) onto a separate sheet of paper. If printing or copying template(s), print at 100% or actual size. Measure the test square provided in the pattern to ensure the pieces are the correct size. Tape corresponding pieces together before cutting fabric, aligning red lines, shapes, and outer edges. It’s also helpful to write the name and cutting instructions on each pattern piece. Cut out pattern pieces along solid black lines, unless otherwise stated.

Great Bag!

I am primarily a quilter not a bag maker - or a sewer of complex items. I was hesitant to start this bag because it seemed complicated. It is not complicated as long as you follow the instructions step by step. Lovely little bag. I even figured out the zipper installation which was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It's a great little bag & I will make another soon. P.S. The zipper pocket on the outside fits my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone which is on the larger size. With the case it measures about 3 1/4" x 6 1/2" so it should be sufficient for most larger phones.

Wonderful little bag

The instructions are easy to read, and the video is very helpful. I liked being able to print my pattern pieces, so I will be able to print more as I make more of these great little bags. The bag came together very smoothly, no stress. The size is perfect for a "shopping" bag and I love being able to personalize it with my own fabrics.
