I haven’t made it yet, but the directions and pictures make it very clear on how to make this project. I’m sure it will be a handy carrier for my drink and phone and whatever else I can get in there. I can’t wait to get started on it.
Thank you so much, Donna!
We’re delighted to hear that the Casablanca pattern feels clear and easy to follow. The photos and step‑by‑step instructions really do make it a fun project, and you’re going to love how handy it is for carrying your drink, phone, and all those little extras. We can’t wait for you to get started!
If you’d like to share your finished carrier, we’d love to see it in the Sallie Tomato Patterns & Hardware group on Facebook. Happy sewing!
I watched the YouTube video first. Thank you! I learned a lot. First experience sewing with elastic binding and air mesh. Got the water cup into the holder. Very snug fit with a huge Stanley travel cup. I am going to add another 1/2 inch to the body width of the holder. Just like fitting a garment! Only the adjustment will be easier. The side pouch fastens nicely to the belt loops of jeans with the clip hardware.
Thank you so much, Gail! We’re thrilled to hear how helpful the YouTube video was and that you learned so much along the way. Elastic binding and air mesh are big firsts—great job tackling both! Getting that huge Stanley cup into the holder is a win, and your idea to add an extra 1/2' to the body width is such a smart, garment‑style adjustment. We love hearing how nicely the side pouch clips to jeans, too. We love the one you shared here. Sew Pretty! When you finish your next version, we’d love to see it—feel free to share photos in our Sallie Tomato Patterns & Hardware Facebook group. Thanks for sewing with us!

Who we are
sallie tomato
Hey friend! I'm Jess, the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. I began by selling items that I had sewn myself. It wasn’t until 2016 that I released my first pattern, the Puppy Pillow. Now, my passion is to design quality sewing patterns, so you can create too!
Sallie Tomato provides sewing patterns, purse hardware, handbag zippers, cork fabric, and select sewing supplies for bag making.
The name of my shop developed around my middle name, Sallie. Also, the tomato pin cushion is a well-recognized symbol of sewing. Thank you for visiting my website!
