I am sorry but I can't give a good note. I am struggling a lot because you don't have draw the pieces in A4. As I haven't a inches ruler, I have to convert each measurement. It's tiering. And we don't have a global vision of what each peace is for, some seam very big. I have to go back an forth to understand each peace. I just took a long time to create each peace in paper that would have been so easer if you just have made A4 patterns. And as I am a French, more drawing would have been more help. Thanks
Thank you, Emmanuelle, for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you had difficulty working with the Tripper pattern in inches and without A4‑sized pieces. We understand how challenging conversions can be, and we truly appreciate your suggestions about including A4 layouts and more drawings. We’ve started converting many of our patterns to metric to better support makers worldwide, and your input reinforces how important this is. We hope you’ll still enjoy your finished Tripper bag, and we’d love to see it shared in our Sallie Tomato Patterns & Hardware Facebook group, where fellow makers can connect and inspire each other. Happy Sewing.
Came as described, very happy with pattern
That’s fantastic—thanks so much for your feedback! We’re glad the Tripper backpack pattern arrived just as expected, and even happier to hear you're pleased with it. I just taught myself to sew this past January and took this on as a second project because I really wanted a unique diaper backpack! Definitely a challenge for me being so new and it’s absolutely not perfect, but I’m so proud of how it turned out! I love that there’s a video tutorial with the pattern, I learn better with a visual real time explanation of how to do something. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to use it when the baby comes!

I’ve made this backpack twice. It is such a good pattern, and I love how functional the backpack is. I found the video to be helpful during the slightly tricky part of making the front pocket.
I’ve been using my Tripper as my everyday commuting-to-work bag and it is fantastic. Thank you to Sallie Tomato for this pattern!

Who we are
sallie tomato
Hey friend! I'm Jess, the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. I began by selling items that I had sewn myself. It wasn’t until 2016 that I released my first pattern, the Puppy Pillow. Now, my passion is to design quality sewing patterns, so you can create too!
Sallie Tomato provides sewing patterns, purse hardware, handbag zippers, cork fabric, and select sewing supplies for bag making.
The name of my shop developed around my middle name, Sallie. Also, the tomato pin cushion is a well-recognized symbol of sewing. Thank you for visiting my website!
