Sallie Tomato Zippers can be purchased by the yard (zipper tape only, no pulls) OR in a 3 yard pack with 9 rectangle zipper pulls! If applicable, make sure to choose either #3 or #5 size tape, depending on your preference!

If ordering by the yard, the quantity you order will be the yardage you receive. You will have to purchase your pulls separately

Hey Bagmakers!  We are updating our policy when it comes to fulfilling orders.  As we continue to work towards shortening turnaround times and getting products to our loyal customers quicker, we are making the following changes to our ordering policies.

If a package is marked as delivered and is not received please contact your local post office or UPS to locate the package.  We are not responsible for misdelivered packages.

If a package is returned to Sallie Tomato due to insufficient address we will refund you the purchase price of the items, but Sallie Tomato will not refund shipping charges. We ship to the address that you have entered when you placed your order.  If you want the order reshipped-we can bill you separately for shipping.

Please make sure your address is correct. We are not responsible for lost or returned packages due to incorrect address.

Important: it is the customers responsibility to ensure the correct shipping address is provided to ensure timely and appropriate delivery.

We offer calculated shipping and handling options worldwide. Our shipping is calculated by weight, dimensions of package, and location; however, sometimes the website makes a mistake, or we can fit it into a smaller size box than estimated. If the shipping seems obnoxiously high, please contact us with your order details and shipping address for a more accurate quote.

Orders ship promptly within 2-5 business days of receiving payment, unless an item is on back order or due to high sales volume. 

Express orders, such as UPS Next Day Air or UPS 2nd Day Air, will ship the next business day unless placed before 9 am CST.  Standard delivery for Ground Advantage and UPS Ground Saver is at least 5-10 days.  Priority is 3-6 days.  Priority Express is 1-2 days.  International is 3-45 days.  Please understand that we try our best to provide timely service. The only guarenteed arrival is USPS Prioirty Mail Express or UPS Next day air

Please check the UPS site if they are guaranteeing 2nd Day air.  

Free shipping items will be sent parcel ground or the least expensive method.  If you need it faster-shipping options are available for purchase.  If out of the USA-you may incur customs and extra delivery fees that you are responsible for.  Please check with your local customs office.  If a package is returned to us, applicable shipping charges will be deducted from any refund to you.

All First Class postage does not include insurance.

Please be aware that the purchaser is responsible for any customs, duty, brokerage fees and taxes that may occur if you are outside of the United States. If you're unsure what these fees could be, it would be best to check with your local customs office. If you refuse an item because of this-no refunds of your order will be made.

You will receive a confirmation email once your order is placed, and again when it is shipped. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive a confirmation email beyond our order processing time.

Watch a video tutorial for using zippers by the yard here! The zipper pulls will not be attached to the zipper tape in the package. You can easily attach the pulls as needed by simply sliding the rounded end (with two openings) onto the end of the tape.  Do this by inserting each side of the zipper chain into each side of the pull, and carefully lining up the ends so they are even.  Then, slide the pull onto the tape. I recommend to mark the desired length of your zipper, then stitch each end before cutting.

Zippers by the yard are very easy to use, so please don’t be discouraged if your coil doesn’t line up perfectly on the first try! With a bit of practice, you’ll realize just how easy they are to use!

Zipper by the yard is a length of zipper that can be cut to multiple zippers at a specific size, and can contain a single slider or double sliders. Often, both ends of the zipper by the yard need to be sewn into a seam to prevent the slider from coming off the tape. Parts and tools can be purchased to convert zippers by the yard into closed end and separating zippers, but the process can be tedious, and we currently do not offer these parts. This type of zipper is commonly used for bags and select apparel.
