This pattern is part of our free video series! You can watch a step-by-step tutorial on how to make this project on our YouTube Channel!

We've designed a quick and easy-to-sew Binder Pouch! Hopefully this pattern will play a small part in helping build some motivation and organization into your life!  Use this pouch to organize art and sewing supplies, tech supplies, school supplies, or whatever you may need to conveniently inside a 3-ring binder!

This is a great project for beginners to make! It’s also easy to personalize by choosing different fabrics or adding applique to the back. I’ll also share tips for sewing on clear vinyl, zippers and installing grommets.

PATTERN DIFFICULTY: 2 Novice

FEATURES: clear vinyl window, zipper closure, grommets for easy insertion into a 3-ring binder

FINISHED SIZE: 8” wide and 10-1/2” high

RECOMMENDED FABRICS: For the best results, use faux leather or cork fabric.

HARDWARE REQUIRED: (3) 3/8” or 1/2” Grommets - STS179x - available in nickel (S), gold (G), antique (A), gunmetal (B), and rose gold (C)

Included with this purchase is the pattern cover and the pattern instructions. Each of our patterns are complete with step-by-step illustrations to help make the written directions easier to understand. Included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. Each pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!

Most patterns are measured and cut, which means that the pieces will need to be cut with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat. Some patterns may include templates for shaping and/or cutting out the pieces.

Trace or photocopy the pattern piece(s) onto a separate sheet of paper. If printing or copying template(s), print at 100% or actual size. Measure the test square provided in the pattern to ensure the pieces are the correct size. Tape corresponding pieces together before cutting fabric, aligning red lines, shapes, and outer edges. It’s also helpful to write the name and cutting instructions on each pattern piece. Cut out pattern pieces along solid black lines, unless otherwise stated.

Townsend Paper Pattern

I haven't had a chance to sew out the pattern pieces but I have reviewed the instructions. I have sewn Sallie Tomato projects before and have enjoyed them. I'm sure this will go well when I'm able to sew it otu.

Quick, easy and versatile

Made mine without grommets but could easily add later if I decide to. I love sparkles so my scrap stash was tapped into. The pouch stays in my work travel tote which it matches.

Great idea Donna, thank you for sharing a photo of your project-it's fantastic. Please like our Youtube channel so you do not miss out on new tutorials as well as I recommend joining our Sallie Tomato Patterns and Hardware group for more inspiration if you are not a member yet. We appreciate you.

Hello, my name is Jessica Barrera and I'm the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. WHAT WE SELL
