Watch Kate walk you through each step! From cutting your fabric to installing the grommet and wrap tie, she’ll share her favorite tips for neat finishes and confident stitching. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned sewist, you’ll love how easy and fun this project is to make.

1. Cut and Shape the Slip Pocket

On the wrong side of Main Fabric Piece C, mark 3" up from the bottom edge on the right-hand side. Draw an angled line from the top left corner to your mark, then cut along that line.

Flip to the right side and topstitch ⅛" from the angled edge for a crisp, clean finish.

Place Piece D ½" in from the left-hand edge and ¾" above the Slip Pocket. Secure with basting tape or glue, then topstitch ⅛" from the edge. Don’t forget to cut out your grommet hole later!

6. Fold and Clip the Edges

Fold each exterior edge ½" to the wrong side, enclosing the Slip Pocket’s edges as you go. Clip in place to prepare for topstitching.

7. Topstitch the Exterior

Topstitch around the entire exterior ⅛" from the edge, about ¼" from the fold. This adds durability and a professional finish.
