She loves working with customers to create custom items and pushing herself creatively, whether using new materials, learning new techniques, or tweaking patterns to make something new. She joined the inaugural group of Sallie Tomato certified educators this spring to teach bag making classes to people excited to develop new skills.
Audra Hoy Chaimson, Sew Dreamy Studio
Project: Audrey Bag & Companion Mini
IG: @sewdreamy
With the bright Tula Pink hardware and great Renaissance Ribbons webbing, I was immediately thinking “racing stripe”! This came to life with the Audrey bag being mashed up with the handles from the Molly bag. Just one racing stripe bag would do, so it got a little sister, with the addition of some accenting Tula Pink Renaissance Ribbons. Hope you find it inspiring!
Meet Audra: Audra is a passionate believer in the power of creativity and its ability to bring confidence to one’s life. An equal opportunity offender of all things fabric-related, she is equally unreserved when it comes to creativity as a whole. She is willing to try anything creative, ready to embrace failure and the opportunity to try again. Her favorite aspect of sewing, painting, and crafting is that each project offers a chance to learn and grow her skills.

Heather Noonan, Strawberry Quiltcake
Project: Tula Tote & Tula Accessories
The piecing on the pocket of this Tula Tote is just incredible! And that 3-D flower?! We knew this bag had potential for complete customization, but Heather showed us what was truly possible!
Meet Heather: As a young child my mom handed me a box of 64 crayons because I just needed all the colors for each paper masterpiece I was to make. She encouraged me to look at the art around me, embrace color and use it to create in all mediums. Once I was introduced to sewing I knew this is where I belonged. I could touch and shape the colors in my hands like never before. Sewing became a way I could express myself but also leave something behind. I could put a piece of my heart in each creation and it went on in the world in hopes to bring a smile to someone else. I created Strawberry Quiltcake because of a mom that inspired me, childhood dreams and a rainbow of color.
Elissa Ziccardi, Quilting Elissa
Project: By Annie Take a Stand Bag and Drop Zone, Townsend Bag
IG: @quilting_elissa
The piecing and fabric combinations on Elissa's projects create such bright and fun projects - we can't help but smile! The fabrics from the Tula Pink Tabby Road and Untamed fabric collections are shown off using the bags as a perfect palette!
Meet Elissa: Elissa is a textile artist with an aesthetic that is designed to inspire. She combines her love of quilting and background in garment making to passionately create pieces that are modern and made-to-stand-out. Her favorite methods of sewing include foundation paper piecing, machine applique, and English paper piecing – detailed fussy cutting and precision work is where she puts the love in my details. Her creative style is bold, bright, & beautiful with a dash of over-the-top! She is passionate about pushing the boundaries of mixing endless color and loads of patterns in her creations. When she is not in her studio creating she can be found loudly cheering on her busy teens, or reading a book accompanied by their family pups, Max and Rudy.
Pia Sirvent, Mrs. Ginger Handmade
Project: Poppins Bag & Aurora Bag
We were so excited to work with Pia again on this project! She made two great bags that show off Tula's fabrics Roar and Tabby Road fabrics! The addition of a zipper and exterior pocket to the Poppins bag is fabulous!
Meet Pia: My name is Pia and I am the person behind Mrs. Ginger Handmade. I am Spanish and I have sewn since I was little but it was while I was studying my PhD that I began to seriously sew for a wedding dress house and for the theater. I lived 14 years in Peru and finally arrived in the USA in 2019. Since I was little I have liked to play with textures, color, fibers, hence I always look for the explosion of color in sight. I go with the faux leather tour: a solid color on the outside but you open the bag and boom! Explode the color of the flowers. I am fascinated by the fact of seeing how from a piece of something (faux leather, cotton, vinyl, etc) something not only beautiful but also practical and useful can come out and make those who see it smile. Mrs. Ginger Handmade worked for two years as a hobby but was officially born as a company in 2020 in the midst of a pandemic. My Instagram page is: @mrs_ginger_handmade
Kat Riley, Sew Original Crafts
Project: Country Cow Deskasow Organiser
What a fun bag! We love the fabric placement and design choices on this Country Cow bag. Kat did a purrrr-fect job with this Tula Pink Tabby Road fabric!
Meet Kat: Kat is the creative mind/maker behind Sew Original! As an avid needlecrafter since age 10, sewing came as a natural progression - but not until years later! Kat launched Sew Original in 2016, beginning with small bags and pouches, before eventually finding a niche making statement handbags and accessories. She finds inspiration in all things bright and quirky, and firmly believes that life is too short for boring fashion. Kat lives in Kingston, Ontario with her partner and never ending pile of WIPs.

Genesis Hall, Genny From the Quilt Block
Project: Tula Tote & Tula Accessories
We were so excited to work with Genesis on this project! It was her first time tackling some of this hardware and she did an epic job! The patches and ribbon accents are so well done and we love how her bag is truly her!
Meet Genesis: Genesis Hall is a 14 year old award-winning quilter and sewist. Her journey into quilting at such a young age is truly inspiring! Her international experiences of living most of her life in Europe and a recent move to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina seem to have added rich layers to her creative background. It’s quite impressive that she’s embraced quilting and sewing so enthusiastically, tackling new skills with each new project despite her relatively short time in the craft. Her adventurous spirit make her quilts really unique, fresh, and full of character. Genesis’ enthusiasm and willingness to embrace new challenges serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of stepping out of our comfort zones. Her approach to quilting not only showcases her talent but also encourages others to explore their own creative boundaries and pursue their passions with confidence. Genesis has a gift that will inspire and empower people to try new things and follow their own paths.
