Bloom True Fabric Tour with Poppie Cotton | Cat Napper & Video Tutorial!

We are so pleased to be a part of another great collaboration with our friends at Poppie Cotton! Feline lovers, are you ready for this one? We're "sew" honored to be a part of this incredible fabric tour! Debuting this month are delightful, bouncy floral fabrics from the Bloom True Collection by Poppie Cotton. Poppie Cotton has invited makers from across the country to create an inspiring project made with their new fabric line. As an aspiring fabric designer myself, I'm honored to be a small part of this incredible fabric tour!

Every feline friend needs a comfy place to rest. That's why I decided to make this cozy hut pattern, The Cat Napper with Poppie Cotton's new fabric collection. As you can see, I couldn't choose just one fabric! These colors bounce off of one another so beautifully, I wanted to find a way to incorporate them all! The blooming petals not only remind us of summer, but perfectly compliment the repeated designs on the multi-colored floral fabric pieces. Don't you just love when you can make each individual piece of a design stand out?

As a sewist who mostly creates bag patterns, it was very refreshing and made me realize how much I have missed quilting! That's why I was so pleased to use all of these fabrics together -  to create something unique, and to admire it all as the beautiful masterpiece it is!

This Cat Napper pattern wouldn't be complete without the dainty bows added to the top! This part of the pattern is designed as a closure to give the Cat Napper its unique shape, all while making sure to keep your favorite kitty cat feeling safe and secure! You can even snip the ends like we did in this photo to make the bows more realistic!
