Zippers don't have to be intimidating! In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the techniques and confidence needed to sew zippers successfully in your projects. This class covers two common zipper applications used in bag making.

Students will learn:

• How to use zippers by the yard

• How to sew a zipper pocket

• How to create a recessed zipper closure

• Tips for achieving professional-looking results

This class is perfect for sewists who want to build confidence before moving into more advanced bag-making techniques.

For students taking the “Anna Tote" class later in the day, the zipper pocket and recessed zipper techniques taught in this workshop can be incorporated directly into the Anna Tote, creating an even more functional finished bag. However, this class may also be taken independently and the techniques can be applied to many other bag patterns. 

Supplies Needed & Prep

• Bring your sewing machine or rent one of ours for $50 (limited availability)

• Purchase required supplies prior to class

• Class supply list provided upon registration

• All pieces noted on supply list MUST be cut out and have interfacing applied before class
