Included with this purchase is the pattern cover and the pattern instructions. Each of our patterns are complete with step-by-step illustrations to help make the written directions easier to understand. Included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. Each pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills! 

Most patterns are measured and cut, which means that the pieces will need to be cut with a rotary cutter, ruler, and cutting mat. Some patterns may include templates for shaping and/or cutting out the pieces. 

Trace or photocopy the pattern piece(s) onto a separate sheet of paper. If printing or copying template(s), print at 100% or actual size. Measure the test square provided in the pattern to ensure the pieces are the correct size. Tape corresponding pieces together before cutting fabric, aligning red lines, shapes, and outer edges. It’s also helpful to write the name and cutting instructions on each pattern piece. Cut out pattern pieces along solid black lines, unless otherwise stated.

Zippy Bags

This pattern is well written and easy to follow. I have made one and am excited to make more as gifts! On this one I altered the pattern by lengthening the bottom pieces by about one inch and boxed the bottom corners. Also, it was my first time using cork fabric which was perfect for this pattern.

It's ok

Like the looks of the bag but hate that I have to measure all the pattern pieces out. I purchased a pattern but I have to enlarge and measure out myself not a fan. Instructions seem well written and easy to follow.

Hello Brenna-we appreciate your review and purchase. This pattern involves just rectangles so we have found that our sewists prefer how fast and accurate that it can be cut out with a rotary cutter. We do have it listed on each pattern if its measure and cut, and /or some pattern pieces. Please contact us if you have any questions on our patterns. Some alterations.

This is an easy pattern to sew. If I make it again, I will add 2 inches to the width, and an inch to the length and ad boxed corners. overall, this is a great pattern for my 16 year old granddaughter to make.

Hello, my name is Jessica Barrera and I'm the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. I began by selling items that I had sewn myself. It wasn’t until 2016 that I released my first pattern, the Puppy Pillow. Now, my passion is to design quality sewing patterns, so you can create too!
