FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Do I have to share any of the money I make with Sallie Tomato?
- No! Anything you make as a Sallie Tomato Educator is yours.
- Are there specific patterns I can teach?
- We have a list of 12 Sallie Tomato patterns that we have created a curriculum for. We will revisit and add/change this list annually based on Educator feedback.
- Am I an employee?
- No. You are a completely independent contractor to run your class bookings and your business as you see fit! Since you will be representing the Sallie Tomato brand, we have a Code of Conduct & Contract that we will expect Educators to abide by, and recommendations based on our experience. Also, to ensure that our customers are getting the best experience, we will ask you to provide surveys at your classes and we will review the responses. This is to ensure that we are providing the best tools and information we can.
- What if I am unable to attend the in person training?
- We want to get to know you! The best way for us to do that is to eat all the Wisconsin cheese together that we can…. kidding, we mean sew together… with cheese. If there are reasons as to why you cannot attend in person, please note it in your application and we will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
- Can entire stores participate as “certified educators”?
- Not at this time. Only individuals can become Certified Sallie Tomato Educators.
- Can I provide feedback since this is a new program?
- Absolutely! We want to hear from you! You are the boots on the ground and we want to hear what you are experiencing and how we can help you be successful.
- Are travel expenses to training included in the certification fee?
- Travel costs (hotel, mileage, airfare, etc) are not included.
