Inspired by an Icon
A little fashion inspiration goes a long way!
Designed by Kate Bashynski, Iris was inspired by the legendary fashion icon Iris Apfel, known for her bold accessories, oversized glasses, and fearless approach to personal style.
Just like its namesake, this pattern celebrates individuality and creativity. From playful prints and vibrant colors to timeless neutrals and textured fabrics, Iris gives you the freedom to create an accessory that's uniquely yours.
After all, even the smallest accessories can make the biggest statement!
Small in Size, Big on Style
Don't let its size fool you! Iris is packed with thoughtful details that make it as practical as it is fashionable.
This beginner-friendly sewing pattern features a simple patchwork exterior, allowing you to mix and match fabrics, colors, and textures to create a one-of-a-kind look.
One of our favorite features is the flex-frame closure! This clever hardware creates a convenient opening that makes it easy to slip your glasses in and out while helping keep them securely tucked away.
Plus, Iris isn't just for eyewear! Get creative and use your finished case to organize:
Sunglasses or reading glasses
Makeup brushes and beauty essentials
Sewing notions and small crafting tools
Pens, pencils, and everyday accessories
It's one of those little projects you'll find yourself making again and again!
