Awesome guide for anyone sewing handbags.

I've done a few purses/ bags for myself, but I'm fairly new to using cork, vinyl etc. This book is an awesome guide to helping me where I struggle.
I love sewing with cork and vinyl as its very trendy now. I've never tried waxed duck fabric, and looking forward to trying!

Thank you Susie for your stellar review. We are so happy to hear that you were able to utilize the book to continue your journey of bagmaking. Mayn new offerings in Cork and Faux leather are coming.
The faux waxed canvas is great to work with. We have that in a number of kits that have everything you need. If not a member-join our Sallie Tomato Patterns and Hardware group for more inspiration and to show off your makes. Happy Sewing!

Easy to Understand

Great guide for the basics. I needed this as a reference. I hate looking things up online so this is perfect.

Who we are

sallie tomato

Hello, my name is Jessica Barrera and I'm the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. I began by selling items that I had sewn myself. It wasn’t until 2016 that I released my first pattern, the Puppy Pillow. Now, my passion is to design quality sewing patterns, so you can create too!

WHAT WE SELL

Sallie Tomato provides sewing patterns, purse hardware, handbag zippers, cork fabric, and select sewing supplies for bag making.

SHOP NAME HISTORY

The name of my shop developed around my middle name, Sallie.  Also, the tomato pin cushion is a well-recognized symbol of sewing.  Thank you for visiting my website!
