The name and design was inspired by Mia Farrow as Daisy Buchanan, in the 1974 film, The Great Gatsby. Mia is also inspired by the warm and kind, Mia Thermopolis, of The Princess Diaries.

Loved the kit and I found the pattern instructions to be easy to understand. This was my first small purse. I really appreciated the video because I am a visual learner. I made a couple mistakes, but was able to fix. I hope to get good at this because I really enjoy it. Thanku so much..I really loved the kit.

Hello, my name is Jessica Barrera and I'm the Founder of Sallie Tomato. I originally opened my shop in 2014 during college. I began by selling items that I had sewn myself. It wasn’t until 2016 that I released my first pattern, the Puppy Pillow. Now, my passion is to design quality sewing patterns, so you can create too!
