Meet, Joanna: Mini Drawstring Backpack | An Exclusive Missouri Star Pattern

Here at Sallie Tomato, we are very lucky to do what we love: designing & sewing unique, handmade patterns!

We are so pleased to introduce the NEW, easy-to-sew drawstring backpack pattern, designed by Jessica Barrera of Sallie Tomato. This design is perfect for carrying your essentials. Use the adjustable webbing straps to carry on your back for a hands-free experience, or grab by the handle!  Customize this bag to your liking, making it out of cotton, cork, or canvas! Keep reading to get the pattern, Kits, and watch the FREE video tutorial below!

The size of this bag is really great for the little ones as well: simply choose your kiddos favorite fabric, and make them a backpack they'll treasure forever! Sew, what makes this backpack different from the others?

The unique hardware featured on this backpack makes this backpack stand out from the rest. We love the use of Sallie Tomato snap-together grommets, that make for a stylish and easy closure of this bag. The roomy interior for this smaller-size bag is a plus as well! Enjoy a convenient slip pocket on one side of the backpack, and a zippered pocket on the other, to store items like your wallet, keys, lip balm, and more!

This pattern comes together quickly, and is so appealing to the eye. If you're looking for a medium-sized backpack that isn't too bulky, Joanna is your girl!

We're "sew" happy to make this pattern exclusive to our friends at Missouri Star Quilt Co. for the time being. You can get exclusive, Limited Edition Kits on their site today, as well as the Joanna Paper Pattern! If you didn't know already, Sallie Tomato Bag Kits have everything you'll need to sew a particular bag or pattern.

Thankfully, the video tutorial for this pattern is available now! Sometimes we don't always have the videos up right away - so make sure you subscribe to the Sallie Tomato YouTube Channel in the meantime! We're always adding more content for you to enjoy!

Thank you for stopping by, and thanks for reading!
