Magnolia Bucket Bag

Intro to Cork Bucket Bag Pattern!

Make your very own Cork Bucket Bag!  The newly released, Magnolia Bucket Bag Sewing Pattern has been written as an introduction to sewing with cork fabric!

This pattern is a wonderful resource for learning how to sew with cork fabric.  It’s FULL essential tips and techniques for working with CORK. This pattern is a quick & easy project for beginners.  You can choose to add a drawstring with grommets, or leave as a bucket bag.

The Magnolia Bucket Bag has a timeless look, yet it’s very functional for everyday use. Inside the bag you’ll find a magnetic tab closure, interior zipper pocket, and key fob. You can choose to add a drawstring with grommets, or leave as a bucket bag. I've carefully calculated the yardage for this pattern so you'll get the most out of your cork fabric.

As always, I’ll take you step-by-step, so you’ll learn how easy it is to produce a professional-looking bag! Included are step-by-step graphics to help make the written directions easier to understand. Also included are many sewing techniques and tips to help you achieve a quality, finished project. This pattern is designed to help you learn and expand your sewing skills!

Now, this lovely bag takes quite a bit of hardware... So I've created a hardware kit available in FIVE (yes, five!) gorgeous, metal finishes including nickel, gold, antique, gunmetal, and rose gold! Shop kits here!

If you prefer, this bag could also be made with vinyl, without any changes to the directions. Experienced bag makers can make this bag with quilt weight cotton, with minor changes to the pattern. The finished size of this bag is 9-1/2” wide at base, 12” high, and 5-1/2” deep. This pattern would not be possible without my wonderful group of pattern testers! I appreciate their hard work!

Share photos of this pattern using #SallieTomato and #MagnoliaBucketBag.  Share in the Sallie Tomato Facebook Group, Instagram, and other social sites!  I hope you enjoy this pattern and enjoy sewing with a new material!
