Inspired by Nature Series: January's The Daphne

We're surrounded by color in nature and in sewing… so we thought it would be fun to bring you a New Bag of the Month Series… Inspired by Nature!

Ready to get creative? Each month we will create a Limited Edition Bag Kit, inspired by a palette from nature.

During the height of this winter wonderland season, we bring you the Daphne Bag, featuring fabrics and hardware inspired by snowy pine branches and pinecones! Imagine the peaceful, crisp, and cold winter air during the frosty freeze of January.

This "Inspired by Nature" kit contains all of the materials you need to make the featured Daphne Bag, including materials to make a matching face mask!

Our January Kit features a cozy, brushed flannel fabric designed by Kate & Birdie Paper Co. We paired it with our Concrete Legacy (inspired by snow) and (of course!) Antique Hardware (inspired by pinecones). There is also the option for Nickel Hardware, if you prefer that your bag has an icy effect!

For our mask, we followed Version 1 from Oklaroots - but you'll have enough materials to make other versions if there's a different one you like!

The Daphne Handbag is a quick sew, and fun to make! The unique shape of this bag makes it appear to be a designer handbag. This bag features: an exterior accent, faux piping, zipper closure, an adjustable crossbody strap, two interior pockets, and optional rivets. The finished size is 9-1/2” wide at base, 9” high, and 4-1/2” deep.
