2. Amalienborg, Denmark

The Danish Royal Palace or Amalienborg Palace is actually a collection of four grand places and is the official home of the Royal Family. The palaces have been given the names of various Danish Kings – Christian VII, Frederick VIII, Christian IX and Christian VII. Dating to the 18th century, Denmark Amalienborg palace became the official residence of the kings after the previous Christiansborg Palace burned down in 1794. Prior to that, four of the cities most prominent noble families resided here! 

3. Galarparken, Sweden

Boasting of a beautiful location by the bay, the little Galärparken is a refreshing place to take a breather after getting your fix of culture at the museums in Djurgarden. The park consists mostly of manicured open spaces, and is frequently host to cultural events and art festivals. The annual Parkteatern Galarparken is a prominent outdoor theater festival held at the park.

One of the most unique and protected areas in Finland, this beautiful area is rich in cultural heritage as well as abundant in beautiful views! Enjoy hiking trails, magnificent hilltops, secret meadows and more! 

5. Oresund Underwater Bridge, Denmark and Sweden

Connecting Sweden & Denmark, this iconic bridge is as beautiful as it is fascinating! The bridge consists of both a bridge, an underwater tunnel and the artificial island Peberholmen!

6. The Atlantic Road, Norway

Also known as the "world's most beautiful drive", this unique stretch of road takes you right out to the ocean's edge. There is also a boardwalk that offers great views of the Atlantic Ocean and seabirds. If you think about how the bridge was built, along with the amazing roads, tunnels, and bridges all over the Western Fjords region - you can begin to appreciate the feats of engineering by the Norwegians! 

7. Ice Hotel, Sweden

You might be in for a chilly stay at the Ice Hotel! This magnificent lodging experience is rebuilt every year, and features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from the neighboring Torne River! The Icehotel is now open all year-round, offering a variety of activities and experiences in both the winter and summer seasons. For many though, the Icehotel is at its best during the winter months when it is blanketed in snow, the air outside is crisp and cold and the northern lights might make an appearance.

8. Geirangerfjord, Norway

9. Rovaniemi, Finland

Ho, ho, ho! Do you hear what I hear?! Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland, in northern Finland. Almost totally destroyed during World War II, today it’s a modern city known for being the "official" home town of Santa Claus, and for viewing the Northern Lights! There's lots of history within this now very peaceful, tranquil place!

10. Stockholm, Sweden

There's always lots to do in the largest city in Sweden! Wander the medieval streets of Gamla Stan, admire the Vasa warship, ride the underground art gallery, or visit the Royal Palace!

11. Roskilde, Denmark

According to all of the travel enthusiasts, the first thing you must do is to visit Roskilde Cathedral; it is one of the best things to do in Roskilde Denmark and is also considered one of the top 10 things to do in Denmark! After that, visit the Land of Legends, enjoy dinner or a drink at Roskilde Harbor, celebrate the famous Roskilde Festival & marvel at the Fjords!
