We’re so excited to invite you to our 7th Annual Virtual New Year’s Eve Sew Along, and this year, we’re throwing a Block Party!
Join Sallie Tomato and Sulky of America for a creative New Year’s Eve filled with sewing, learning, and plenty of inspiration. We’ll be creating the Estee Bag, a structured, statement-making bag featuring a playful patchwork-inspired exterior and appliqué details.
Whether you’re spending New Year’s Eve sewing from your favorite creative space or joining alongside friends, we can’t wait to celebrate the end of 2026 together!
Meet Estee
Say hello to Estee, the star of this year’s New Year’s Eve Sew Along!
Estee measures approximately 12" wide x 8" high x 2" deep and features a structured silhouette with plenty of opportunities to make the exterior completely your own.
For our Block Party version, we’re giving Estee a colorful makeover using faux leather and cork accents. The geometric layout creates the perfect backdrop for appliqué, decorative stitching, and color combinations that let your personality shine.
And the fun doesn’t stop with the bag itself. We’ll be incorporating AccuQuilt GO! dies to add playful fruit-inspired appliqués to the design. The featured die for the event is the GO! Berry Medley Die by Chris Marchini, with additional appliqué options available separately.
Pick Your Party: Four Kit Options
We created four Estee kit colorways, so you can choose the combination that fits your style.
Berry Cocktail brings bold pops of color against Black Pebble Faux Leather, combining shades of brown, robin egg blue, teal, cherry, eucalyptus, and purple. The sample features strawberries and blueberries on the front, grapes on the back, and a cherry bag charm.
Berry Sangria takes a more earthy approach with Beige Legacy Faux Leather paired with rich cork and faux leather accents, including Grove, Merlot, Hazelnut, Jasper, Quartz, and Brown.
Berry Parfait is bright, playful, and full of color. Cherry Legacy Faux Leather serves as the base alongside blush pink, forest green, white, electric blue, Tourmaline Cork, and Rustic Natural accents.

Add Your Own Appliqué Style
One of our favorite parts of this year's project is how easy it is to personalize!
The GO! Berry Medley Die by Chris Marchini is the main die featured during the event, giving you adorable berry shapes to incorporate into your Estee Bag.

And keep those scraps nearby! The Berry Medley shapes can also be transformed into adorable coordinating bag charms. We won’t be teaching the charms during the New Year’s Eve event, but there may just be a future tutorial coming your way.
